I Am Fine

Sometimes I get it right.
More often I get it wrong.
There’s so many expectations.
In your world, I don’t belong.
It’s too crowded.
Compassion, an obsolete feeling.
Love discarded before gained.
My heart’s door is closed.
You taught me be restrained.
Used to be bold.
Hang my head to count backwards.
Clearing the voices in my head.
You’re avoiding any questions ask.
Busy filing away everything I said.
So, I don’t communicate.
Thoughts do bounce around a lot.
A pill or five I can take for that.
My other personalities aren’t bothered.
Don’t worry how I act.
I’m fine.
