1969 Twisted Mix Tape

Jen Kehl

I’m in 1969 and the music is changing for the better.  I can still dig Elvis’ dancing to the ‘Jailhouse Rock’ but these songs are rockin’ too!!!

I don’t mind the weight he’s gained.  He still can do no wrong.  Elvis Presley’s ‘Suspicious Minds’ is groovy. Just the beginning “We’re caught in a trap” gives me chills.

“I met a gin soaked, barroom queen in Memphis” is awesome coming from Mick’s gorgeous lips.  Rolling Stones doing “Honkey Tonk Women” is a must have.

“Don’t Pass Me By” by the Beatles is another groovy song that should still be played when we hit the 1980’s.

CCR’s “Bad Moon Rising”  is super cool.  I can dig it.

It’s just the twangy sound of her voice.  I love it.  Jeanie C. Riley singing ‘Harper Valley PTA’ is a favorite of mine.
