One year in one image

Cold, winter days,
sunlight sparkles
across pure snow.
Breezy, spring mornings,
light awakens all,
announcing longer days
of summer drawing close.
As the evening air becomes
chilly, autumn displays
grand, warm colors. Changes.

  1. You've captured the essence of the prompt perfectly.

  2. Thank you very much. You are right, if we're lucky, it repeats. I enjoy each season in some way.

    “autumn displays grand, warm colors”

I feel as if I just took a fabulous tour through the seasons. I especially felt these lines. This is wonderfully written and just beautiful. 🙂

  13. I agree with Valerie. You've written a synopsis of the beauty each season brings us and, if we're lucky, it repeats. Nicely realized, Donetta :))

  14. Each season has something beautiful for us. To me, autumn is particularly refreshing after a hot summer. Then again, the new life of spring is exciting after winter 🙂

  15. Thank you so much. I am fortunate enough to live in an area where each season is pretty mild. Not too hot, not too cold, perfect in spring and autumn. 🙂 Gorgeous in the fall, with the colors changing in the mountains. Wonderful scenery.

  16. You have wonderfully distilled each season down to it's essence-like the grand warm colors of autumn! I love this piece so very much!! Excellent 33 words, Donetta!
