This Is Different

100 Word Challenge writing prompt

Here we are again,
been here before.
Pull the blinds closed,
turn the small lamp on.
Dim in the room, I
can see, lights flashing
through your dark eyes,
so dangerously, powerful.
You hold the power
as you stand over me.
Raising your shirt over
your head, I can barely
breathe, or think, as
I admire your manly
chest, there’s a smile
playing across your lips.
This time is different,
wish my heart would
shut up, I need you now
more than ever before.
Still, I picture you loving her.
I bet she doesn’t see
all the qualities, I love.
